bathFeeling a little stressed lately?? When we are feeling stressed the last thing we do is take time for ourselves, which is what we need most during a stressful time. One of the reasons people are so stressed is due to neglecting self-care.  So my suggestion today is, take a little time to unwind in a nice relaxing Detoxifying Bath!!

This is such a cheap and easy way to de-stress at the end of a long hard day. This bath recipe has a few ingredients that most people already have.

Epsom salts (which is magnesium sulfate):

  • Helps to sooth and relax your musclesdr-teals-epsom-salt-lg
  • Improves your heart and circulatory system
  • Relieves tension and stress
  • Reduces blood clots and lowers blood pressure
  • Improves skin, making it very smooth!
  • Detoxifying- removes toxins and heavy metals from your skin

Baking soda:

  • This is highly alkaline which helps balance an overly acidic system
  • Helps eliminate chlorine in the water
  • Softens water and skin

Lavender Essential Oils:lavender oil

  • Calming aroma which is great for treating migraines, headaches, anxiety and depression
  • Decreases insomnia by improving the length and quality of sleep
  • Joint pain relief

De-Stress Bath

2 cups of baking soda

2 cups of Epsom salts

8-12 drops of lavender essential oil

Fill up bath with warm water, add the ingredients and soak for 20 minutes, which is enough time to remove the toxins. Do not stay in longer then 25 minutes to prevent the risk of reabsorbing these toxins.

Now take some time to yourself and relax, you deserve it!
