How much water are you drinking each day?? The answer is likely not enough!! Experts have estimated that as many as 80% of Americans aren’t drinking enough water.
How much water should you be drinking?? Well that depends on how much you exercise and sweat. But I can almost guarantee you should be drinking a heck of a lot more then you are now!!
Common signs of dehydration can be dizziness, heart palpitation, confusion, dry mouth as well as increased thirst (once you reach this point it has become extreme). Do everything you can to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day and you will immediately feel the difference as well as see it! Proper hydration will give you more energy, allowing you to loose weight easily and best of all you will look younger!! Say goodbye to those crows feet and under eye bags!
Sure easier said then done to drink all day in today’s hectic world. Here are some simple tips that I found really helpful!
- Carry a water bottle EVERYWHERE you go!! (I use glass water bottles to avoid chemicals)
- Replace what comes out. If your finding it hard to drink all day, try and remember to have a glass of water after every visit to the washroom
- Cut back on caffeinated beverages like coffee and black teas, as well as soda and alcohol as they are all very dehydrating
- Keep a large pitcher of filtered water in your refrigerator so every time you open it you are reminded to drink up!
- Don’t like the taste of water? Spice it up by adding fruit, lemons, cucumbers, mint leafs and more! My favourite things to add to my water as seen in the above picture; lemon and mint leaves, as well as strawberries and blueberries.
Follow these tips to ramp up your H20 intake and stay hydrated!
