Nooooo- it can’t be that time of the year again can it?? I am very sad to see the long weekend come to an end. This may be a happy time for some parents out there…puts an end to the chaos, and gets you back to routine for the kiddies and parents!
Although I am in complete denial that summer is over- a post on healthy snacks and lunch ideas will be helpful for many of you right now. This post is not just for parents with children going back to school but for everyone needing to add some excitement to their lunch boxes! I know this can be a hard task at times…. especially when you get into the routine of packing that boring old baloney sandwich day in and day out. Well time to spruce/healthify things up!! (did I just make that word up??)
Healthy lunches are soooo important for children. Obesity rates, type 2 diabetes and many other health issues are being diagnosed in younger children each year. These diseases were more prevalent in older adults, but the numbers continue to rise in children. We need to do our part to put an end to this by giving children nutritious lunches at school to keep their energy and concentration levels high. They are our future!!
