Energizing snacks Always feeling tired and run down? Are you blaming it on the weather and the time of the year; thinking this is a normal occurrence? Its not, the weather is no excuse! Lets get you feeling energized with these simple tips.

  1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate- your body is made up of 70% water so it needs water to function properly
  2. Start the day with a nutritious breakfast
  3. 8 hours of sleep every night- you need to allow your body time to reenergize for the day ahead
  4. Ditch the coffee- it may give you a boost of energy but that boost is followed by a crash. Switch to green tea which prevents the crash
  5. Cut out processed white foods- this causes your blood sugar to drop and makes you ready for a nap!
  6. Get off the couch and get movin’- 20-30 minutes a day is all it takes to give you an instant energy surge
  7. Start your day with warm lemon water- this kick starts your digestive system
  8. Get outside for a breath of fresh air and some vitamin D
  9. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables
  10. Plan ahead- every morning I write a to-do list for the day ahead. This keeps me motivated and keeps me working away to finish my daily goals
